After reviewing the match calculations from the last two seasons of CL:
P:14, S: 2, U: 5, N: 5
I have been stronger, and in some cases much stronger in 13 of those 14 matches. The 14th game was very close.
The results clearly shows that there has been no advantage whatsoever for Bristol being the strongest team in CL matches.
This is isn't down to bad luck either, I think its down to either one of two things.
i- Each season selected clubs are being deliberately held back. (which if true is disgusting)
or (and what I think is most likely)
ii- the game engine has got a bug(s) in it that is causing the unrealistic results for affected clubs. Especially in reducing the number of goals they score.
Whatever the reason the outcome is still the same for clubs like Bristol and Western Pioneers, no doubt other clubs are experiencing the same issue.
There is no ROI on fielding a team to be stronger than my opponent in the CL. Therefore the only sane step for me to take is to field Match Practice teams for all future CL/EL Group matches and get some quantifiable benefit from the fixtures
To be clear, this is not me having a tantrum, it's me accepting the reality that my club is facing and making the best decision in the given cir*beep*stances.
And it says a lot when the quality of the match calculations has got so bad, that I have no incentive of playing my best team in supposedly the biggest games of the season.
I have absolutely no confidence in getting a balanced and fair match calculation. Its just become a farce
The CL in its current state is broken. It does not resemble reality in any form, and most importantly it is not fun or rewarding. I've literally wasted another evening on not being entertained.
P.S. I don't mind losing in isolation tonight, although the result was yet again stupid. It's the ac*beep*ulation of bad results with the common factor running through it of Bristol ability to score being reduced.
